Can anyone recommend a good daily moisturiser with an SPF 15 or above?

I have decided at the ripe old age of 32 it's time I looked after my skin a wee bit better.
Since sun damage is supposed to be the worst thing wrt aging I would appreciate any recommendations for a day cream with a good SPF. Thanks

No advice but watching with interest as want the same although I would prefer something that is free of parabens which seem to be in everything

TheThoughtPolice · 28/01/2009 14:12

I use Dior HydrAction Visible Denfense which has SPF20. It comes in a few formulations depending on your skin type. It is £37 though.

mrsmaidamess · 28/01/2009 14:13

I like Boots Time Delay stuff. Not sure about the parabens though!

TartanPussyCat · 28/01/2009 14:18

ThoughtPolice How long does the Dior one last you? Don't mind spending a bit more but obv if it lasts you a good while it would be worth it...

Thanks for replies!

On average, using twice a day, a 50ml pot lasts me 6wks. You don't need a lot

TheThoughtPolice · 28/01/2009 14:41

they do a night cream too. If you wanted to use the dior as a day cream only it would last a good couple of months, I should think.

MakemineaGandT · 28/01/2009 16:04

I use oil of Olay one - pot is about £8 and lasts ages - probably about 3 months (I use a different night cream at night). It's SPF 15 and works really well

TartanPussyCat · 28/01/2009 18:38

GandT could you do a link to your Olay one if poss? I was looking at Olay products the other day but gave up as I couldn't see one with SPF....
Thanks

I have used Clinique City Block SPF 25 or 40, over moisturiser for over 15 years- and I have no wrinkles to prove it!

They also now do Super defence with is moisture + 25SPF.

BobtheWoodmouse · 29/01/2009 09:36

Another vote for Clinique Super Defence spf25, I'm quite fickle with products but keep comng back to this one. With my skin, I should have the oily/combination one but I prefer the creamier version they do for dry skin, so try tham out before you decide if you get the chance. I tend to wear it over EL nighttime repair serum (during the day though)

HelenMc1 · 29/01/2009 10:44

Khiels Ultra Facial Moisturizer SPF 15 is good. My skin is very combination and this seems to even it out well, without the stickiness I found with the Eve Lom SPF Moisturizer.

ConnorTraceptive · 29/01/2009 10:47

I like the BOOTS Expert SPF 15 moisturiser. I have very sensitive skin and it's about the only one that doesn't give me probs

skay · 29/01/2009 10:51

Connor - Can you use it on children as young as 2?

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 29/01/2009 10:53

I use Boots No7 Hydroquench with SPF15 - it's lovely stuff and about £15 per tub I think.

charitygirl · 29/01/2009 10:55

Olay Complete Care Daily UV Fluid (with SPF 15) - light, so goes under make up really well, but seems to do its moisturising job. i wear it every day.

And its nearly always on special offer in Boots, Superdrug etc.

ConnorTraceptive · 29/01/2009 10:57

Not sure Skay, I've just checked the bottle and it's actually spf 12.

Must admit in the summer I just use normal sun lotion as a moistusiser

MrsMattie · 29/01/2009 10:58

Also like Clinique Super Defence. On the cheaper end, Garnier do one in a little red pot (cant recall name) with an SPF15 that is pretty good.

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 29/01/2009 11:08

I use this nd think its good.

Can any recommend something that's oil free and doesn't make your skin go all greasy after a few minutes? Or is that wishful thinking when it comes to SPF?

clarins do one that is with or without spf15. Its fab...

AndISayHey · 30/01/2009 08:59

I don't always wear make-up. And never foundation. Clarins stuff irritates my skin.
