I am a size 10-12. Large of nork and round of arse. I have chunky thighs at present. Tummy is a bit round but not too enormous. Age 32.

Boobage is around 34DD.

I rarely buy clothes. I have noticed that most of my wardrobe is black. Am a bit bored with this and have started feeling invisible.
Can you ladeez recommend a few key bits to add to my wardrobe.
I have fair skin colour and dark brown hair with green eyes. Yellow doesn't suit me and i hate pink, navy blue and light greens.

TIA.

Think your figure is probably better than you're making out - I'd say hour glass rather than chunky as you describe. Big boobs and a nice round bum suit v neck, just above the knee length dresses. It's a nice day time look if you wear it with knee high flatish heeled boots. Why don't you try wearing mid grey instead of black (ok, sounds boring and school uniformy but looks brill if you wear a contrasting necklace or scarf and a big bangle. brown also a good colour to wear as it works with colours much better than black.

A more casual look would be low rise (low waisted), boot leg jeans with a slightly heeled shoes to make your 'chunky' thighs look longer and slimmer. Make sure they are mid to dark wash as light jeans aren't very flattering. Wear them with a tunic type top or a short dress that's semi fitted that finishes mid-thigh so it covers the worst part of your legs. Again, keep it v neck as high necked tops make big boobs look a bit funny. Oh and get a proper bra fitting to get those norks up to yer chin.

Wow, you are gonna look fabulous!

Thank you! Would low waisted jeans not leave me in danger of a muffin top though?

I am going to get a proper bra fitting next month in an independent shop. I haven't had my norks measured properly for a long time and when i had a go in MandS and BHS they both gave completely different sizes.

You sound beautiful. @ green eyes!

Wrap dresses, baby - that's the way to go with a curvy figure like yours.

Nothing wrong with black per se, but you need to jazz it up with some bling accessories, or something. You say you don't like green, but some green accessories on black might bring out the green in your eyes.

ah the lovely muffin top, sported by those who love to wear low jeans and a short top....you shout be ok if they're not too low waisted and you don't wear a top that stops at your belly button. if you're really worried wear a chunky belt low on your waist so it just sits on your hips, then you definitely won't see any hit of muffin!

talking of muffins, think i'll have a cuppa and some cake

Idrankthechristmasspirits · 28/01/2009 13:59

Definitely not beautiful!

Wrap dresses sound good. I'll try on some green with the black and see what happens....

lol at the cuppa and a cake brought on by thoughts of my muffin.
Belts a good idea, will look at that too.

Many thanks ladies, you've given me some good starters.
