I want to change my hair colour - help

I've got a hair appointment booked for tomorrow

I usually have highlights (bleach and a slightly darker blonde) but I fancy a change. Do you think I would suit brown ? Should I just have an all over colour or foils with darker blondes and no bleach ?

Any thoughts welcome (pics on profile)

Allover colour will always leave you with a root problem - you could move in a browner direction with one or more drker blondes mixed in with your lighter highlights - I think you would look nice with darker hair - but not too dark.

I would do it gradually.With low lights

Like higgle said you'll have a root problem if you go to dark.

Thanks - so you think still foils but just darker colours and no bleach. Do you reckon this sort of colour would suit me ?

Yes, but it doesn't look any darker than it is in your pictures - the effect would be lovely.

It is darker - my hair in rl is too "bleached" looking - looks almost white/grey in places - its also in really bad condition which I'm hoping will get better if I stop using bleach and just use tints instead. I'm just scared of it looking too orangey/brassy though and I don't want stripes either

I always think of going brown and then bottle it (no pun intended) at the last minute

Do it, it will look fab.

I would also do it gradually, if you went for one all over darker colour at once, you would feel very pale skinned.

I speak from experience, I went dark on top of highlights and felt I looked very pale, tired and ill!!

Thanks - think I'll give it a go with some dark blonde/light brown low lights

Yes stop using the bleach this will help improve the condition of you hair.
