I need to get some attractive (but cheapish) jumpers or cardigans. Any ideas?

Going somewhere where it will be cold and I need to wear layers. I have vest tops, t-shirts etc but I could do with a cardigan and 1 or 2 jumpers.

I am short, big norks so tend to wear v-necks but not sure that will keep me warm.

Any ideas?

uniqlo are supposed to be pretty good and very well-priced. Also Topshop appear to have revamped their knitwear and I am finding that there is a higher merino content (important for cold climes) and they are washing beautifully without shrinking or pilling.

Gap are reasonable prices (always have a sale rail too) but I find there is always some shrinkage.

If you want to wear v-necks, why not wear a funky scarf with it too a la Kate Moss and other slebs? I wear my v-neck jumpers this way in the winter (am v sensitive to cold so like to cover up any potential draughty areas!!)

tkmaxx usually good for knitwear ime - angora, alpaca, cashmere all good for warm/light. i also find a good pair of elbow length armwarmers works a treat under jumpers, around the draughty bits, plus can wear indoors and still type accessorize usually have some.

Tesco have got cheap v neck jumpers in lots of colours at the moment - I think they're eight quid each but I could be wrong.

Primark. Great colours and great over shirts or t's - if you can bare the guilt!

oh yes, can second TK Maxx. They have lovely John Smedley knitwear starting from £20 (usually retails for £100+)
