Had some lines for a while now-under eyes particularly and ones from nose to mouth. Eye ones got much worse after last baby/sleepless nights. I have just begun to use Boots No7 Eye cream, hydrating face cream and am using the free sample of protect and perfect serum that came with them.
Any other non-expensive things to try.
I try to drink water but find it too boring. I drink tea mostly and am trying to drink more green tea and jasmine tea.
I don't smoke.

Off to pick up DD from dancing. Back soon.

I bought big tub of vit E cream from local chemist for £1
Use it to remove makeup,as body moisturiser, and on face if I want extra moisturiser. It is wonderful,my skin looks positively plumped!
Also,cannot recommend drinking water enough.
Really does help.
As has been said, also sleep,as much as possible.
Makeup wise,I use LOreal ulralift moisturiser,Tesco Barbara Daly 'soft focus' as a sort of primer which makes skin all dewy looking, then Clinique foundation.
Am 41,and don't have many lines

I like the protect and perfect cream (Boots).

I also use their exfoliater from time to time, because I have been told that this helps the absorption of the cream (so it doesn't just sit on top of the dead cells IYSWIM.)

Night cream as often as I can remember to do it! I keep it on my bedside table.

Also, I don't use water on my face, I use Olay cleansing wipes.

I am often told I look at least 10 years younger than my real age - however, people in my age group do usually need reading glasses, so maybe they just don't see the wrinkles .

Everyone looks at their worst in January - Christmas excess, horrid weather, central heating all take their toll. Do wear make up i;f you go outside - it does protect your skin and you feel better.

I just did! paid by pay pal. I never spend money on makeup/beauty stuff but these lines are just too depressing. Wish me luck!

Time Dealy (Boots) Microdermabrasion cream is very good at buffing the skin and making it looks less crepey and more 'dewey'

mrsmaidamess · 18/01/2009 12:13

Time Delay

edam · 18/01/2009 12:16

do you put sunscreen on after moisturiser and before make-up? I just buy a moisturiser with sunscreen in it, is that not enough? (Am getting lots of freckles so clearly not but not sure how to incorporate sunscreen...)

pushchair · 18/01/2009 12:16

Am definitly going to get some sort of exfoliater[sp] and 'dewey' sounds sooo good. Have to say I have been trying to go to bed earlier and think it has made a difference.

can I suggest something like this for crepey days? It knocks years off me
