If you were me, would you rather spend it on:

this Brora hat; or

this ensemble for ds; or

this smythson notebook?

decisions, decisions....!

agree tracybath...i spend £40 a month just on face creams....total waste of money i know, but i convince myself they work.

Maclaren · 16/01/2009 17:27

there you go bargain at £25

VersdeSociete · 16/01/2009 17:28

Moleskine notebooks are lovely if you are a notebook fetishist and you could afford one and a great hat.

harleyd · 16/01/2009 17:29

oh thank god you changed your mind about the augustus gloop outfit

mrsseanbean · 16/01/2009 17:30

Ooh thanks Maclaren, that is a bargain!

May yet be able to acquire all 3 items at this rate...

How about this for your DS?

mrsseanbean · 16/01/2009 17:34

Those are nice BonsoirAnna, but I was really looking for a shirt and trouser set.

I liked the reviled ones in my OP as they had little buttons to attach the shirt to the trousers (very practical I thought).

Also have you looked at neck & neck clothes they are very classic and are lovely my DS has a few of their bits

dalek · 16/01/2009 17:36

I have been diappointed by moleskine recently - paer is thin and ink bleeds through. So of the three I would say Smythson notebook but personally would buy Paul Smith swirly one - www.paulsmith.co.uk/home-195/notebook-w8xa-book-note-1/product.html?LproductId=8367 - can't bring myself to buy Smythson because of Samantha Cameron connection

daftpunk · 16/01/2009 17:37

Has anyone said to go to TK.MAXX...?
I bet you could get a cashmere hat for - like £3.99 (i got an fcuk skirt for £3 last week!!!)

And def a better outfit for your ds.

mrsseanbean · 16/01/2009 18:50

Yeah Kerry - I know! Possibly a bit OTT? Especially in view of what others have said regarding the quality. I don't mind paying extra for quality - but if that's not the case then maybe not a good idea.

But.... I do still like the hat (and corsage). So there.
