I've not got dry skin but I found it really good for coverage, their cover up is as good as their foundation. I had no problems with their delivery service either. I found my face looked a bit shiny in photos when I had it on but I seem to be alone in this problem!

cmotdibbler · 13/01/2009 15:49

I really like it - but have slightly oily skin in places and dry in others. Important thing is to really let your moisturiser sink in before applying, and really polish the powder in.

They do 99p trial pots which last for ages, so v little risk, and the delivery is very prompt

lizandlulu · 13/01/2009 16:21

ok, thank you, i will have to give it a try. 99p trial pot sounds good

Get several shades, it's hard to tell from the website the exact coulour. Try the finishing powders as well. (well for 99p, why not?)

i always have trouble getting the right colour anyway, i have pale skin but very red cheeks and trying to cover them just looks odd

I love it. It feels so much lighter than 'normal' make-up.

NL3 · 13/01/2009 16:52

Prompt service, nice product, reasonably priced.

They also do a green tinted colour corrector for red cheeks.

I ordered some the other day - will let you know when it arrives

notgettingmuchdone · 13/01/2009 16:59

I've been using it for a couple of months now, is fab and as others have said delivery is fast and testers v cheap, I got through about 4 testers to decide colour. Postage is pretty cheap as well as quick. Only thing which cost a bit was the special brush to apply it (£14) but good value imo and makes it go on faster and more effectively.

lizandlulu · 13/01/2009 17:10

i already have a smashbox kabuki brush and some benefit redness cover up, but dont use it very often

lizandlulu · 13/01/2009 17:16

Try in-store in your local boots for one of these brushes - really good value.

p1umpudding · 13/01/2009 18:33

if you ahve dry skin, you may find that it cracks a little and emphasises this. I found their eyeshadows to be excellent, but wouldn't recommend anything else.

Pay for their samples as they're quite generous before you go ahead.

RamblingRosa · 14/01/2009 08:32

I have dry skin and it works well for me. I use a heavy moisturiser (dr. hauschka rose cream if you're interested ) and let it sink in a bit and then really blend the mineral powder in with the kabuki brush. If you blend like crazy it shouldn't highlight any dry bits or open pores...it should do the opposite and make them disappear.
As other people have said, it's a good idea to get some little samples first as it's hard to judge the colour. I'd also recommend going darker than you usually would. I used to always go for the lightest shade available in normal liquid foundations (ivory, or porcelain or whatever) so I tried the palest shades on lilylolo and they made me look like a ghost! I'm now using 'In the Buff' which looks scarily dark in the pot but blends in really well.

RamblingRosa · 14/01/2009 08:33

Oh, and their online delivery service is excellent. Very quick and reliable.

Ooh, interesting about the shades, Rosa, thanks. I have been dithering about the colours but think I will order a few testers and see how I get on. I'm basically a human oil-slick so love the idea of foundation with no added grease.
