and next week I am going 'out' for the first time since ds was born. I have nothing| to wear but I don't want to turn down the invitation. It is drinks and cinema with some girl pals. Am currently a size 18 with big boobs and a saggy tum. Don't I sound a stunner?? BF seems to make it impossible for me to lose weight unfortunately, though I am eating very healthily. Long term, I hope to lose all the baby weight by ds's first birthday, which I was able to do after dd when the damage was similar! (am usually about a 12-14 and about 2 stone lighter) but what can I wear in the interim? Don't want to spend loads but want to look half decent.

Ooo fab I'm glad you all seem to think its good. It was nice to actually go to the shop and try some things on- I'm not as big as I think I am. 16s seemed to fit fine and I got the dress in a 14 (must be cut big because I certainly am not back to that size yet!) BUT. Its meant to stay cold well into next week- are dresses over jeans naff? Might be a bit warmer that way (and do need new jeans) I think skinny jeans are probably acceptable under dresses, but sadly not on me So I am thinking flat shoes and jeans or tights with a teeny heel, with a black wool coat over the top. Now I just need to do something with my hair...

Marlasinger (love the image I get everytime I see you btw ooo the glamour) that is my job for tomorrow- I am heading down to M & S to get a nice bra. With dd, which should be fun as she does like to make loud comments in changing rooms

Ha that brings back memories of taking DS into the changing room and him shouting 'Mummy, I can see your pink boobies. Oh no Mummy, your boobies have fallen on the floor!' He thought bras were boobies. Such fun! Oh and Gok reckons dresses over jeans = good look. I am a BIG fan of that look, so comfy too!
