They're lovely, my DD would wear them, she's 8 and a half. I suppose she has been wearing necklaces since she was about 5. HTH

BonsoirAnna · 09/01/2009 16:34

2? I can't remember. She has loads of jewellery (she's 4).

sweetkitty · 09/01/2009 16:41

£14 for a neklace for a child

My DDs have loads of cheap plastic tat necklaces, bangles and rings, they love dressing up and love the Mr-T look

Have been dressing up since about 2 maybe earlier in DD2's case

Hulababy · 09/01/2009 16:45

DD had lots of dress up ones from 2/3yo. She has had more grown up ones since about 5y, maybe a bit littler - normally bought as a gift for her. She is 6 now and only wears them for special occasions and parties.

She has two special ones - one has a very teeny tiny diamond in it which she loves. It wasn't that expensie, perhaps £13 or £14. But she really likes it.

She also has a gold chain with a cross. This is very precious to her as it belonged to her great grandma who died about 18 months ago. Her great grandad gave it to her after she said, saying great grandma had wanted her to have it to remember her buy. DD is very carefulw ith this. It only gets worn for family special occasions such as meals out. Not allowed to be worn for children's parties for example incase it gets broken or lost.

My DD would like the Boden beads. She has something similar that my parents got her from Pumpkin patch. Didn't cost quite as much though. She wears them at weekends more often.

sweetcat · 09/01/2009 16:51

pointydog · 09/01/2009 16:57

They had "play" ones from about age three. We bought each of them a proper silver one for special occassions when dd1 was about 8 and dd2 about 6.

janeite · 09/01/2009 18:03

I wouldn't pay £14 for those though - make papier mache beads instead!!

lovelysongbirdie · 09/01/2009 19:12

i'm going to order them tomorrow, i can always put them up till she's older
