Question about Clinique

What moisturisers do they do that aren't DDML? Admittedly I haven't researched fully, but on a quick look that seems to be the only one. Also did an online survey thing on their website where I clearly stated I had oily skin and they recommended that moisturiser when I had read elsewhere that it's for dry skin.

Surely not one size fits all?

No DD IS for dry skin. Not really liked by the skincare/ beauty industry at all; some say it is like putting lard on your face, I use it and find it fantastic. I have dry skin though.

You actually need something oil based like Clarins huille Lotus.

I have that but am not that keen on it somehow. Makes my face feel quite itchy?

Bugger, well have already bought it online. Will see how it goes!

I have been warned away from all Clinique stuff by beauty therapists as it is so harsh (I think this refers mainly to their toner which does in fact smell like nail varnish remover).
I know they are trying to sell their own stuff but seemed to be complimentary about other high street stuff that compared better.

I would be tempted to get a facial and have something 'prescribed'. I used Dermologica but have heard really good things about Clarins?

sorry - didn't realise you have bought it already.....

I find it really difficult cos I have quite bad skin - spotty, greasy (mmmm!) but if I use products for that kind of skin, my skin feels really tight and uncomfortable.

I have used the clinique 3 step sytem for over 25 years and although I am depressed about how fat I am, would like longer legs and less nobbly feet I am ecstatic about the state of my skin and get complimented on this quite a lot- even better so does my mother who followed suit and has also used the system for over 20 years. I am highly allergic to most skin care products (Nivea makes my face swell up and my eyes close) so apart from anything else it is good to have products that don't make me itch. I'm sure it doesn't suit everyone but if it does suit you it really does work.

I used DDML for ages and found it OK. Now using Philosophy Hope in a jar and finding it moisturising but quite nice and light, not keen on any of the other clinque ones..

Have you opened the DDML yet? If not, could you exchange it for DDM Gel? The gel's intended for oily skin.

I've used Clinique for years and am pleased with my skin. Mind you, my mother and sisters all have nice skin too, so perhaps it's nothing to do with Clinique!
