I am fed up being cold. I need one and need it now!

Have tried Lands End but the colours are hideous.

I got one from M&S - wasn't Per Una, though. It cost £80. It's black, very long and stuffed with duck down. Looks a bit like a less horrid version of a puffa. Not the most stylish, but amazing for warmth.

Fimbo · 06/01/2009 10:25

Thanks Lucy.

Mrs Mattie that sounds just what I am looking for, I am past caring what I look like as i am so cold. I like a North Face one but it is £180.

Will go into M & S and look I think

What size? There are a few on ebay. I like this, but need a 14/16

Fimbo · 06/01/2009 10:30

Same as you clumsy!

clumsymum · 06/01/2009 10:31

Same seller has a cream one too, same size (12/14)

Fimbo · 06/01/2009 10:36

What do you think of this?. I could get a micro fleece under it.

Have you tried Lands End? THey have a sale on at the moment. I got the white Squall coat that was being linked to , on here, last summer and it's brilliant.

Fimbo · 06/01/2009 10:40

Ooh just been back to look at Lands End and they now have the Chalet one in a nice red colour

That's nice, I like my coat because it's lovely and warm but I don't look like the Michelene (sp) man in it.

cocolepew · 06/01/2009 11:24

Oops just re-read your op about loking at Lands End

Fimbo · 06/01/2009 11:26

Tis ok, I didn't like the Lands End colours but I am now swithering over the red. Because I am on the large end of a 14, I am fearful of looking like an overipe tomato.

I got

this one

in black. Tis the best coat I've ever bought.

Fimbo · 06/01/2009 11:29

Is it warm Pesto?

OP posts:
PestoMonster · 06/01/2009 11:32

It's not just warm, it's toasty
and
I can tell you that I was warm throughout a whole afternoon zoo visit on Sunday wearing both the coat and some Ugg type boots.

Really warm, BUT, not toooo bulky (which is important for me as I am a little chunky

Fimbo · 06/01/2009 11:35

Yes I don't want to look chunky.

Ahh decisions, decisions.....

Fimbo, I hummed and haa-ed about getting it for two months. Mainly because I thought it was expensive (I don't usually spend that much on clothes). But our school playground is freezing and I walk there and back every day, so I thought, blow it, I will order one and see what it's like (I can always return it if it's no good).

Anyway, it was perfect for me (partly because I ordered the petite one - I am very short) and I haven't regretted it.

You could always order one and see what it's like (like me) and if it's no good you can send it back. You'll only then have wasted the postage.

Fimbo · 06/01/2009 11:43

Very true.
