Come and critique my outfit, I've just realised i may look a bit stereotypically french in a fancy dress kind of way

I'm meeting old school friends in a local pub.

I'm wearing a black wool wide pleated skirt, mid thigh length with black wool tights and black leather ballet pumps.

Then a grey , burgundy, mustard and black finely striped long sleeved top, over which I have a slightly baggier 3/4 jersey top in jade green with a droopy pussy bow neck tie on it.

Then a dark grey wool swing coat and black beret.

I have no idea why I'm fussing so much.

Just leave off the beret and you'll be fine. It sounds like a nice outfit (I wouldn't wear jade green anything though as it makes me look nauseous, but I expect you aren't as vampiric pale as me).

Balls, that means I'll have to do something with my hair.

I'm pretty pale, but for some reason it's the colour that suits me best.

all sounds good to me apart from the 'pussy bow'. Am deeply suspcious of pussy bows. They make me think of Thatcher.

It's not in a bow though, it's an artful knot that sort of dangles mid nork.

That doesn't sound much better does it.
