Best makeup to try to hide tiredness

DS doesn't sleep. I do not sleep. I look like hell. Please tell me what I can do (with exception of sleep) to try and look even semi-human. Is there makeup that hides purple furrows under eyes without making you look very odd?

Touche Eclat or similar - I use a Clarins version. I go through tubes of the stuff!

I think Benefit do a light reflecting stick for eyes too.

Ronaldinhio · 31/12/2008 10:11

try a decent light reflecting primer and then some foundation
secret camoflage concealer by laura mercier is fab and lasts for ever in terms of as a product and on the skin.
put some on the eyelids and on the outside edges of the eyes too to try to make yourself look more awake
a sweep of blusher also
some mascara
lip balm
good to go yummy mummy

littleboo · 02/01/2009 10:44

try benefit - lemon aid! fab, fab fab.

used2bthin · 02/01/2009 13:48

Ooh I need this too. Well I am getting sleep just haven't caught up with all I missed I think as I look permenantly exhausted. Is YSL touche eclat the best concealer then do people think?

Astarte · 02/01/2009 13:50

midnight secret...not called sleep-in-a-bottle for nothing
Dh and I both use it after our kids are born. Mac also do a cream called Strobe, which is light reflecting. Bloody brilliant combo I find.

missorinoco · 02/01/2009 14:14

right. you are gearing me up fix myself. i have been told i am looking "worse than usual."

i'm in possession of clarins eye revive beauty flash. do i put on the eye revive cream, then foundation? and if i use touche d'eclat, when does that go on?

(desperate times call for me to use up my boots loyalty points i think....)

Yes to Beauty Flash Balm. And yes to rosy pink blusher on the apples of your cheeks, and not much eye make up. And lip gloss.

mrsmaidamess · 02/01/2009 14:26

Moisturise, then flash balm, then foundation (sparingly) then pat a little Touche eclait on worst bits. make sure you apply to outer corners of eyes and on the inside bridge bit of your nose where purple shadows can lurk.

benifit do a primer called that gal lovely and light,

and they do a cover up (all the nasties, spots, wrinkles, eye bags) called erase paste

and this week i bought get even, and i like it

earthpixie · 03/01/2009 22:20

Curl your eyelashes and use a light coat of good mascara to open your tired eyes up. Deffo use a light-reflecting product under your eyes (No 7 one is quite cheap and fab). You could line your eyes with a white eyeliner - this works like magic, apparently. Touch of pinky blusher and a rosy lip colour if it suits you. You'll look lovely!
