who can help me with advice on Boden sizing (ladies)?

Hi all - am thinking of ordering from Boden for the first time (dress and coat, for myself) and wondering about sizing. I am US size 4 so usually UK size 8 or sometimes 10 depending on the cut. I am not tall so in the US often get petite sizes, often find things here too long in sleeves and legs.

What should I go for, Boden-wise? Size 8? or do they run small at all? Have no chest at all, but not skinny iykwim.

Thanks!

i would go for 8, unless it says otherwise. i noticed some of the items said that they were snug and you may want the next size up.

I find the tops sometimes run small. If you click on 'garment details' on the description on the Boden website it gives you the measurements of the garment for the different sizes, so you can compare it with an item you already own that fits well and work out the best size.

Just checked and it seems that they don't show the 'garment details' during the sale, so that may not be much help to you! They normally have that feature on their website though.

it varies. their dresses are usually big but i have a coat of theirs which is on the small side (i have broad shoulders and long arms). you can ring them to ask about the fit.

thanks all. will give it a try with the 8s, I think. I assume if you get it, and it doesn't fit, you can send it back to them free of charge?

no, not on sale stuff. you'll have to pay return postage unfortunaltey

I would go with a size 8. I'm uk size 8 in shops like warehouse, topshop etc. I buy boden size 8, I find the knitwear fits but the jersey tops etc are too big.

Tricky. I'm size 8-10 with no bust at all, and Boden dresses are hopeless for me - huge everywhere. I get a 12 in skirts so they sit on my hips (can't stand anything on my waist!) Tops are hit and miss - sometimes short in the body, and all have very long sleeves. I bought a gilet in 'small' this winter, and had to exchange for a 'medium' (to my surprise) as it was very skimpily cut. I generally find, though, that Boden things completely swamp me
