Shall I get false nails for Xmas?

I have horrible, short, bitten-down nails and was thinking about getting falsies put on for the festive season.

However, I had it done a few years ago and they left my nails brittle and this, although to be fair I did pull them all off myself rather than get them taken off properly.

What is the best type to ask for? Will they affect the condition of my nails if I only have them on for a few weeks? Or shold I save my money and just sit on my hands?

I'm lucky my nails are nice and strong.

Falsies are just a quick fix and look a bit odd IMO. Invest in some 'stop and grow' and in a weeks time they'll look transformed.
