New coat question

Really stupid question. There are two stitches on either side of the coat at the back, down at the bottom to keep the flappy panels in place, iyswim. Do I cut them or are they supposed to be there to keep the coat panels together. Duh?

Crisis over. I've worked it out.

What is the correct answer to that one? I'd leave the stitches to help the coat keep its shape. Unless the stitches looked really visible.

No, I had to cut them. On inspection the stiches were loose and very obvious. I cut them and the coat hangs fine. Thanks
