Mac or Urban Decay - don't know names though.

SantasNuttySTaff · 16/12/2008 22:55

Mac is fab for night time sparkle, either go direct to website or debenhams

SantasNuttySTaff · 16/12/2008 22:57

oh Barry M is really good too (boots) or stargazer

SilverSixpence · 16/12/2008 22:58

Mac is good but v expensive for the pots of shimmery pigment. How about trying Barry M or GOSH from Superdrug? also good and less pricey.

Definitely the urban decay. Possibly the heavy metal eyeliners.

We are, aren't we! Just the calm before the storm of taking the DCs to school.

MrsJamin · 17/12/2008 08:30

what about Lily Lolo mineral eyeshadows - just gorgeous shimmery shades.

snowleopard · 17/12/2008 08:34

Urban Decay "Maui Wowie" is very nice - kind of pale greenish-gold/beige colour with sparkle.

NorktasticNinja · 17/12/2008 08:37

Mac pigment is truly fantastic, it is expensive but one pot lasts forever.

RamblingRosa · 17/12/2008 09:05

Mac pigment, Lily Lilo sparkly mineral shadows, and Barry M all good suggestions. I think Bourjois do some loose sparkly powders too. The trick with some of those sparkly pigments like the mac one is to apply it with a wet brush for a real metallic gold foil effect

MadamAntlers · 17/12/2008 09:09

If you're minted there are some utterly gorgeous Nars ones around.

Molly100 · 17/12/2008 11:13

Another vote for Urban Decay

scattercushion · 17/12/2008 11:14

Credit crunch sparkle - Body shop have one.

notwavingjustironing · 17/12/2008 11:15

I'm a big Urban Decay fan too. There are tubes of sparkly eyeshadow, but the liners with the very fine brush are beautiful - I've got the green one and the bluey black one.

Athough amazingly, Boots No 7 stuff is pretty good too - the Christmas limited edition stuff, but it seems to be sold out in a lot of places.

BBBee · 17/12/2008 16:09

thank you everyone - i got a pot of mac pigment - reflects brilliance in purple.

am a bit scared to try it thoguh - wet brush you say?

have to say id rather get the clear UD gel eyeliner thing.
eyeshadow can do over the top.

clarebear1 · 17/12/2008 17:05

Ive gta load of urban decay glitter liquid eyeliners £11.50 each i think but they do exactly the same in collection 2000 for £1.99 i think

I was tempted just to say MAC without even reading the OP.

However I have read the OP and still say MAC!

expatinscotland · 17/12/2008 21:07

i like Bourjois, especially the Stretch stuff.

NorktasticNinja · 18/12/2008 15:44

BBBee - The purple is stunning, I love that one! You can use it wet, dry, damp or on an undercoat (something like Paint Pots is the sort of thing I mean), anything goes. It's also also often used mixed with lip gloss for lip colour or as a nail varnish (mixed with clear polish). Not that I'm suggesting you walk around with purple lips, obviously!

TBH it's well worth messing about a bit on the back of your hand before you try it on your eyes. You can use it in so many ways and get really different finishes. Just play!

If you want to use it wet try mixing a bit with a drop of water on the back of your hand and applying it like a liquid liner. You can soften the effect/add colour to your lids dry or with a damp brush.
