i've finally decided to get some skinny jeans now that I've finally lost all the chocolate magnums baby weight.

Any recommendations please? I saw some in next but they're horrid and the ones in m&s all look a bit like old lady jeans iyswim!

maximum spend £50. Thankyou!

I still like them! I love Disco from New Look, they're £20 and after wearing mine for the first time I went back and bought an identical pair.

oooh cool. never thought of new look. Do they wash ok?

Blimey I sound like my mother!

Well I've been pleased with my cheapo Primark ones, £8 a pair. They are quite forgiving and are not low rise, thank god.

badgermonkey · 16/12/2008 19:19

Yes, they've stayed nice and dark and go back to shape well after being washed (no sagging around the knees). I had some black Primark ones and they GREW over time so I could take them off without undoing the zip or top button...

Try Tesco? I've had jeans from there - £10 and they're great

mrsmaidamess · 16/12/2008 19:22

badger, maybe you were getting smaller rather than the jeans getting bigger..

LaVie · 16/12/2008 19:23

thanks, will try tescos too. Liking the prices by the way!

Primark £8 onwards.

LaVie · 16/12/2008 19:24

and you wear ballet pumps with them?

I know, I'm useless....

Top shop do some nice pairs. Think it's bit cold to wear the ballet pumps, but yeah thats the idea Lavie.

TheRealMrsJohnSimm · 16/12/2008 21:16

LaVie, I have skinnies from M & S (Limited Collection but admittedly 2 years ago now). Also have them from Top Shop (lovely fit - very forgiving as have healthy dose of lycra within!). I tend to go for straight leg rather than "skinny" jeans per se - I think they can be slightly more flattering.

I wear mine tucked into boots (high heels and flats) and also with ballet pumps.

thankyou
