Ah, I am sooo lucky. At 36, i still haven't outgrown adolescent zits (several monthly through fewer now than 5 years ago) and now I have been diagnosed with the middle-aged skin problem too. Gah.

I have been prescribed metrogel but wondered if any sufferers have had good results with particular skincare? Ir's either that, or a brown paper bag.

Sorry I don't have any specific experience of rosacea (although I do know about adolescent acne ) but I just wanted to say that on a cosmetic level, mineral make up is very good and I think it claims to actually help conditions like acne and rosacea as well as covering them up.

I'm also a big fan of Dr Hauschka moisturisers and I'm pretty sure that some of them are recommended for rosacea.

this is quite interesting

I was diagnosed with Rosacea about 6 years ago, aged 32!
I had to experiment with moisturisers and cleansers, I now use a soap free facial wash for sensitive skin, and a Norwegian Formula moisuriser. Some people swear by the Liz Earle range for sensitive skin. Just don't use anything harsh or drying on your skin.
I second the comment about mineral makeup, I use Bare Escentuals now.
Avoid anything that you know is a trigger...for me its caffeine, alcohol , heat or wind...

I have this - have had it for 20 years, but was only diagnosed about 10 years ago. Recommend using acqueous cream as a cleanser (just rinse off with water); it's v. cheap and v. gentle. I also recommend having a look at the Calmin website - they only sell products for acne rosacea sufferers and have lots of info on the site too. No, I don't have any connection with the company, but I have used their moisturizer for a couple of years and am v. happy with the results. Can't vouch for any of the other products, though, as I haven't tried them. Used to use Dr. Hauschka, but I started to react to their moisturizers in a big way, so went off their products.
