This stuff really works. GET SOME!

I had begun to look shite. Overworked, stressed, pre-menstrual, blotchy, dull and zitty. Was getting through one Rimmel Hide the Blemish a week (or so it felt).

I saw an ad in a mag for Clarins "Serum Phyto Tenseur" or Extra Firming Tightening Lift Botanical Serum, which said:
...'not ready for surgery, lasers or botox? This is the alternative blah de blah...'

I'm not normally the type to pay too much heed to thye crap you read in ads, but in my state of mind (and face) it sounded tempting.

Anyway, I got some. Ladies - (and men for all I care) - this really works. It's about £40 but I was desperate so I went for it, and I'm glad I did.

I urge you to beg, borrow, steal as soon as possible. You won't regret it.

NB If you are impatient like me, it does take about 3 days before you start looking less shite. If you didn't look as bad as me to start with just imagine the possibilities

No, doesn't feel at all tight, for me anyhow. You use it before your normal moisturiser, day and/or night. I am using it twice as I am such an extreme case!! It really has made such a difference for me. My skin just looks healthier somehow.

Is there a clarins offer on anywhere?

NotanOtter · 12/12/2008 21:39

Where did you get it Mrs SB - does Sean approve ?

roundcornvirgin · 12/12/2008 21:48

yes, tell us about Sean...

MrsMerryHenry · 12/12/2008 21:51

Hi again, MrsSB! (I'm not stalking you, honest).

I was really hoping when I saw this thread that it would be under a tenner. Now, can I commit to spending £40 a time on something that's going to make me look fab?

Nahhh!

roundcornvirgin · 12/12/2008 21:52

Yes but it's snared Sean...

MrsSeanBean · 12/12/2008 21:55

Hi NotanOtter, I got in it John Lewis, luckily they had a 10% discount that day

MerryHenry - I know, I felt very guilty when I bought it, but it's the best thing I've ever bought.

Sean is god. I have to work very hard to make myself worthy of him.

Think of my troubles, SB - I'm married to a younger man! Have to work extra hard (on Superdrug budget !)

NotanOtter · 12/12/2008 22:35

mrs seanbean - john lweis do nnot appear to do clarins online

MrsSeanBean · 12/12/2008 22:36

Nah Otter, they don't do the full range online, very annoying. Think Boots probably do though. Hang on, will try to get a link.

thankyou mrs sb

what does the serum feel like - i normally prefer cream

paddingtonbear1 · 12/12/2008 23:31

mrs sb how long will it last do you think?
I sometimes use boots Protect and Perfect, but don't notice much difference with that, really.

MrsSeanBean · 13/12/2008 00:14

Otter - it feels a bit like a gel, but not sticky. Thoroughly nice really. I can't believe I'm getting this evangelical about a product! But it's good stuff imo.

Bear - you only need to use a tiny blob, it seems to have good coverage. I reckon it will last me a couple of months, maybe more. It has a pump action dispenser so you just need to eject quite a tiny drop per usage.

you said you were using hide the blemish - has it got rid of blemishes then? i have zillions of pregnancy spot and look like a bizarrely aged teenager

NotanOtter · 13/12/2008 00:20

you need commission!

MrsSeanBean · 13/12/2008 00:25

I wish Otter! Are you buying then...?

Christmas - nah Rimmel hide the blemish just covers, does a pretty good job though imo. When I get zits I get 'em bad, and Hide the Blemish is tacky/ thick enough to do the job. Bugger those thin watery jobs from Lancome I say, they are not for industrial strength spots such as I get.

OP posts:
MrsSeanBean · 13/12/2008 00:26

But the Clarins serum - yes! Has cleared up the spots too. Gawd, it's a wonder product.

MrsSeanBean · 13/12/2008 00:29

I'd better go and get some beauty sleep, Lord knows, I need it! G'night all x
