Ladies, can you help?

I have been very kindly given 200 quid to go and buy myself a coat - in-laws tactfully said they had sen me in the same old coat for years - and here is a cheque for 200 quid!

So, where is a good place to buy coats. I am looking for a single breasted, 3/4 length one.

Thank you

what sort of coat? Like a nice wool type coat for best or more for everyday? what sort of colouring are you/do you wear. does it need to be waterproof?

Furball, a nice wool type coat as I have a day to day one. It doesn't need to be waterproof.

My colours are browns/olive green/petrol blue or red.

Any thoughts????

How kind of them!

French Connection have some lovely coats at the moment. Haven't been in lately but I always covet the coats in Whistles...

L. K. Bennett is an obvious (surely nothing wrong with that though?) place to start looking for a classic wool coat.
The coats are in the sale at the moment - still a bit pricey but my money is on further, dramatic reductions after Christmas.

classic

Someone on here earlier in the month was buying a lovely coat from Oliver Bonas; v. much like a Jaeger coat but a fraction of the price. No link for that, sorry. They are London-based (I don't know if you are,) but do have a website and presumably m/o.

I once bought a really nice, classic wool coat from Muji, and it was amazingly cheap - but I don't know what they have at the moment and they have v. ltd. colours and range.

Lovely in-laws!

P. S. the L. K. B. "Cami" is lovely in the flesh and comes in a wider range of colours than shown on the w-site.
