OK ladies.

Dinner date with DH and another couple at Gaucho Grill on Friday. It's replacing the company's Christmas do, as that was cancelled, and we already had a sitter and thought we'd go out anyway.

I want to wear something nicer than normal (jeans and jumpers). A party frock is OTT though.

Am thinking I can work around my knee high black suede boots and opaques....but what else???

Am size 10 more or less, relatively tall, no cleavage

I'd go for one of those nice jersey dresses that are in the shops at the moment, I have a lovely light grey one from h&m thaT i wear with turquise tights and knee high boots, then you just need a nice necklace and earings.

You can always have a tight vest underneeth for extra warmth.

A slim fitting jumper dress, either in a jewel colour or black or grey with jewel coloured opaques, plus the boots.

thanks for the thoughts...any idea where to find such??

h&m
Zara
Topshop

What's your budget? I only know where to get clothes on the lower end of the market

PatsyCline · 07/12/2008 19:08

I bought this from Phase Eight last week.

I know that it's not the most exciting dress on screen, but I feel effortlessly sexy in it (and nice and warm!).

budget is probably under £100. The Phase Eight thing could be just about perfect! Thanks! (I have a knit dress from their Winter/Spring collection and it just fits so well. If it weren't brown, beige and pink print it would suit this dinner thing really well)

Hooray! I hope you like it. I have worn mine seven times in ten days (it has been washed, honest) as it seems to suit just about every occasion.

I love you PatsyCline!

Went to PhaseEight. Sale on. HOO RAY. Two dresses bought. One perfect cosy wrap dress - score. One very sassy satin thing with wrap top - ostensibly for a wedding in March but just might come out on Friday night...

Yippee!

Have a great night out. I like the sound of that sassy satin number.
