Can anyone advise me on choosing a different (more flattering) blonde shade for highlights?

I always go for beige - a darker beige blonde and then two lighter ones. But, I recently saw myself in an unflattering light and it made me skin tone quite washed out (I am 30)

Have any of you found this? Is there an alternative blonde I can ask for at next weekend's highlights appointment? I don;t mind changing shade, but would rather not go much darker (beleive me, with brown hair I just look drab)

Your hairdresser should be able to advise- that's their job!

They should bring the shade cards and discuss with you.

I have 3 colours ranging from dark gold, light gold to mid blonde and they put them in the right place- lighter colour near my face.

Get some chunky lowlights in, it honestly brightens your face right up.

Get them to lay the swatches against your hair, maybe go more for gold than beige?
I have 3 shades or 2 shades highlighted blonde and the rest of the hair coloured to a warm light golden brown
