Has anyone found anything that REALLY makes hair thicker??

My hair has always been fine, however recently it has begun to look VERY flat and thin.

OK, it could be my age (42), or diet etc.

I use styling products like 'Thicken Hair' which help a bit, but I just wondered if any of the more serious hair-restorer type things work?

Or any supplements?

EachPeachPearMum · 04/12/2008 22:19

Yes- pregnancy

christmasBarbielovesSanta · 04/12/2008 22:20

5 sec actually!
Its good though isnt it?

Comma · 04/12/2008 22:22

yes but mine has been left on windowsill AGAINST ORDERS and has clumped. May take advantage of free p and P.
You shake it over your crown( imo) and muss up and it goes as good as second day no washing( if you know what I mean).

For me, what make the most difference is having it highlighted. It changes the texture and make its seem much thicker. I now keep the hoghlights going for that more than for the colour!

Also would recommend the Andrew Collinge thickening shampoo and conditioner.

I would recommend cassia, you will need to google it.
Its a type of henna (well not strictly) but the same idea, also leaves your hair very very shiny also is extremely messy but highly recommended, im doing my hair again this weekend.

I use Herbal Essences Fruit Fusions Uplifting Volume - a friend told me it was on offer at Boots recently 2 bottles for £4.

I've got v fine hair and have found over the years that often cheaper shampoos like silvikrin and Pantene are just as good at bulking up hair as pricey ones. Pantene do a leave in volumising mousse which is good. I think John Frieda do a spray-in prduct which was v good IIRC.

You could try Holland and Barrett hair and nails vitamins. or one of the heavy-duty supplements like Nourkin - surely woth a pop if you're really concerned?

Semen

I also have very fine hair which unfortunately I have to wash every day. I've tried most things on the market but this conditioner and this volumising mousse really does the trick. They also leave hair feeling conditioned and silky, without making it greasy.

I use redken Body Full shampoo and conditioner, and then on towel dried hair, Superstar by Tigi on the crown and roots (superstar good for everyday and 1 bottle lasts for ages)

For night out volume, I use
www.lookfantastic.com/hair/tigi-catwalk/styling/tigi-fashionista-big-and-bigger.html on the crown and it is excellent and a little goes a long long way.
