I'm bored of v-neck sweaters, I've two really nice cardigans that are chunky and interesting and look good over anything. I could do with more or some more interesting sweaters....any ideas?

moondog · 02/12/2008 20:40

chipmunkswhereareyou · 02/12/2008 21:10

Agree Moondog....I want something classy looking but that doesn't cost a fortune!

TK Maxx? I bought a fenn wright manson cardi earlier this year for £30.

YaddaYaddaYadda · 03/12/2008 00:01

Topshop does fab knitwear and it's all machine washable

chipmunkswhereareyou · 03/12/2008 09:38

Good idea Yadda - I've one from there already from last year and it's lasted well. Off to look at their website...

River Island also have some fab jumpers as well

Fillyjonk · 03/12/2008 13:59

yes agree I am struggling here also

What I really want is warm and non-cheap looking with a hint of goth.

Fillyjonk · 03/12/2008 14:00

oh and I want DARK COLOURS

What is it with this white and grey? I can't wear light colours.

ilovejonty · 03/12/2008 14:23

I saw this instore the other day. It looked really nice on an assistant. But it's not machine washable.

is topshop good sophable?

I also have issues with these longline tunics as I think you do need to be non-bulgy to carry them off.

ilovejonty · 03/12/2008 18:42

Bulges not necessarily a bar to the tunic style sweaters (speaking personally). I can bulge for Britain at times and find them oddly flattering (if not too tight in the first place)

Fillyjonk · 04/12/2008 18:40

I think they can work

I do not think they should be teamed with leggings though if you have figure issues.

The main problem I think is that they can make one appear shorter and more shapeless than one might like

moondog · 04/12/2008 20:43

I bought two very lovely jumpers from Principles today.Their stuff is great.Nicely made but not expensive.

Omg head to Uniqlo.
And in Elle magazine (UK edition) you get 20% off selected items in there.

Also markets have the best vintage type clothing or a good charity shop.

Principles are launching their winter sale next Thursday, have some lovely thick cardis that will be in the sale
