Newborn baby girl outfit

Just realised I haven't bought anything yet for bringing dd2 home in when she arrives in a couple of weeks.

Has anyone seen a particularly pretty little all-in-one/outfit? I'd need somewhere that sells newborn/small baby sizes rather than 0-3m as dd2 is likely to be small.

I like the ideal of a soft wool romper or something with delicate florals.

I have bought "coming home" outfits for all three of mine...and they have ended up being bundled into the car seat in a babygro!

mothercare usually have some nice newborn stuff though.

Thanks Daisy, a babygro thingy is what I'm after really- just wondered if anyone had seen a particularly pretty one.

Hadn't thought to look at mothercare but this is definitely a runner, thanks!

I've had a look at debenhams, john lewis and house of fraser websites- any ideas where else to look?

this is gorgeous- much prettier irl

Weepootle - step away from the mothercare knitted all-in-one. It would be a bugger to get on and off over a newborn's head.

Next is best for babygros IMO. They wash well and seem to be warmer than Mothercare gro's.

So cute!!

Gorgeous!

Very sweet.

weepootle · 29/11/2008 21:34

Lol! I hadn't even thought of that BrocolliSpears- so long since I've done it. I love your first link, will definitely be buying that little pack- thanks.

I picked up the boy version of the knitted thing in Mothercare a while ago, realised it was over-the-head and put it back just as a young, heavily pregnant woman put the set into her basket... I'm afraid I instructed her to put it back too [bossyboots emoticon].

I saw a baby with the mothercare knitted thing on the other day...it did look lovely

Next babygros are lovely; the material is thicker and washes well without pilling like some of the thinner ones you can buy. They also keep their shape and size in the tumble drier...essential qualities for a winter baby.
