budget around £40 or lower

something nice; I have used Neal's Yard Francincense cream for night it is too heavy for day

I like Clinique for make-up but have never had any of their moisturiser really

I am nearly 40, normal skin, just tired-looking, not really dry or oily as such. Bit of a furrowed brow...

Philosophy, hope in a jar is wonderful.

The basic yellow clinique moistuizer whose name escapes me is also lovely.

Jurlique Calendula Cream.

I love Dr Hauschka Rose moisturiser, either the (heavy,) ordinary one or the day cream - which is the one I think you'd want. Ren also have a lovely rose moisturiser. They are available in health food shops, Space Nk and I think Ren is sold in larger Boots.
I have v. sensitivie skin (most moisturisers give me a facial peel,) but these are really good.

I read somewhere that Aldi q10 cream is as highly rated as Clinique and Lancome in blind tests.

And its one of few that is good for sensitive skin.

Bonus its 1.99!

I would recommend Spiezia Daytime Moisturiser - it is a rose and vanilla oil - smells gorgeous and does make your skin feel lovely and soft, it kind of "balances" it - and not at all oily as you would think. Love it!

Here.

I use clinique foundation and also have the same kinda skin and have recently started using lancome aqua fusion moisturiser. I think it's great. Smells really fresh, not too heavy or light on the skin. About £20 odd.

Why not go to the make-up counters and ask them for any free samples of moisturiser? That way you get to try them without having to fork out for something unsuitable.

I have used Clinique Super Defence for ages- for very dry skin and it also has an SPF of 25. I do like it, but have been using REN frankincense night repair stuff for ages ( onto my 2nd bottle) and I LOVE it, so have mow just bought REN daytime moistursier for dry skin.

I can't use Clarins- always irritates me- and avoid any brands with perfume- including Lancome which is highly perfumed, as I used to have eczema and try to go for hypoallergenic or perfume free as much as possible.
