Gap Kids puffa (down) jackets - anyone know how much they are?

Does anyone know roughly how much the really warm GAP padded jackets are - Childrens, about age 4-5?

I am trying to work out how much to bid on an ebay one, or whether to use my 30% voucher this weekend, but it's quite a drive to the nearest Gap.

Or if anyone has one to sell, I'm not fussy about colours but it is for a boy.

cheers!

I think they were about £30 last year (we bought DS one that still fits him this year). But we may have got it on special offer.

The girls ones were £40 I think not sure about boys ones though.

they do come up quite small, so I would buy a bigger size & go for a past the bum length one.

They are very warm & I think the boys one on ebay are cheaper than the girls one.

I've just bought my DD1 a gap gilet for £10 on ebay. It's immaculate though. Would have been about £24 in the shops.

I bought one for my DD1 and it was £36 two years ago [size 6-12 months]. It is now being worn by my DD2 and it is so warm and such a quality coat. Definately worth the money.

I bought one for about £12 on ebay, but it was at the end of summer, will be more competition now

Ive just (last month) got one for dd 7 with 30% off and it was £33 ish.

that was age 8-9 as they are very small sizes.

mysteryfairy · 28/11/2008 15:30

DD's friend has got one that matches DD's Gap boots - her mum told me it was £45. Stock can be hit and miss but staff in Gap are generally v helpful. If you ring I'm sure they'll both confirm cost, stock check and put something to one side for you if necessary.

Would echo everything about them coming up small. Was amazed by the size DD's firned was wearing.

I've been buying these type of Gap coats in the Jan sales for the last 4 years now (they vary ever so slightly from year to year). Gap always seem to have loads left and you can pick them up for at least 1/2 price and occasionally at 75% off in Jan. (I buy the next size up). Despite the 30% off voucher this year, I've actually decided on the cheaper Zara Kids version at £12.99 instead. Not as well made but hey, I can overlook the imperfect seams for that price. It does look good and is very nice and warm.

blithedance · 29/11/2008 22:10

For the record the plain ones are £44 but I got swayed by one with a fur trimmed hood for £49 which didn't seem so bad with £30% off. My DS is pretty slight so I am hoping for 2 years' wear and then 2 years on DS2.

I will be looking out in the sales for the next sizes though - great tip thanks. Didn't know that Zara did kids clothes.
