New Look for jeans

TBH, i just get a lot of stuff taken up

That isn't helpful i know

thequietone · 21/11/2008 14:02

used to get mine from Next

GaspodTheWonderDog · 21/11/2008 14:02

Marks and Spencer short length and Next (although they do still scuff the floor). Mainly I have to get trousers turned up though. If God was going to make me small, why couldn't he make me an expert seamstress too? Thoughtless I call it

IllegallyBrunette · 21/11/2008 14:03

New look or Dotty P's

LurkerOfTheUniverse · 21/11/2008 14:03

don't jeans look awful taken up?

Tinkerisdead · 21/11/2008 14:04

next petite for me, i'm 5ft 2

Bramshott · 21/11/2008 14:07

Ooh, I am really really struggling with jeans at the moment. Gap ones used to fit me really well but they have changed all the sizes recently and they all seem huge and dangle on the floor! I bought a kids pair from Fat Face but there's not really enough room for my hips in them . I must try New Look - is that in the kids range, or do they do a short adult size?

GrimmaTheNome · 21/11/2008 14:09

Theres nothing long with the length of my arse, its my legs which are short, thank you very much.

M&S best on highstreet, IMO. (sadly). Did get some I like from Next but they are a bit long.

I miss Anne Brooks, their jeans used to be just right for me.

On-line - they may have frumpy image, but Landsend have lots of styles and lengths, some of them you can specify exactly what inside leg you want. And they do free returns [maybe not on custom-hemmed?] so worth trying maybe?

LurkerOfTheUniverse · 21/11/2008 14:10

kid's sizes don't allow for large hips ime

I think I must have freakishly short legs

i like next jeans best
i get trousers from topshop

principles also do good jeans and GREAT trousers

if they are a bit too long on me i wear with a heel

dont like taking things up

LurkerOfTheUniverse · 21/11/2008 14:12

Lands End [shock}

yes Anne Brooks were good for trousers although not exactly cutting edge

Bought the first pair of jeans I have ever owned in New Look a couple of weeks back. They cover my boots nicely but don't drag on the floor. Heaven! Unfortunately, all the petite ranges don't allow for you being short arsed and a heifer, so they're no good for me.

RubySlippers · 21/11/2008 14:14

no - NL jeans are fine

i just get trousers taken up

LurkerOfTheUniverse · 21/11/2008 14:20

tesco do short legnth too

Aefondkiss · 21/11/2008 14:22

I am not quite 5 foot ... which I tend not to admit to people if I can help it... not that people don't notice I am a right short arse!

I always struggle to find trousers that fit in the leg... sometimes I buy straight legged jeans which are quite easy to take up, I have bought New Look, still a wee bit long on me, River Island used to be good but they seem too long for me now and I am not so keen on their styles just now.

I recently bought two pairs of trousers from Monsoon petite range, the black pair are too long (okay to wear with wedges) but I can wear the denim pair with flats without them sweeping the ground! Both very flattering which is nice.

Jane Norman short are like regular length on me so way too long, I don't like Fatface... material seems really thin on the ones I tried, length was okay-ish with heels.

Debenhams is worth a look, Red Herring range do short, though I have not tried them, they look okay and are cheap... also Laura Ashley do short length but I haven't tried them yet either.

EyeballsintheSky · 21/11/2008 14:23

Why did I say first pair I'd ever owned?? That's bollocks, I live in jeans. I meant best pair, first pair that fit properly. And all for a tenner.

kingprawntikka · 21/11/2008 14:24

M and S , or Principles. I am 5ft 1 and rarely wear heels and these seem to fit ok.

Aefondkiss · 21/11/2008 14:26

Yeah Topshop are good too for length in the petite range, for plain black trousers(though I prefer my Monsoon black ones just now), though like all petite ranges limited styles and trying to get your size can be a struggle because they are usually sold out.

paddingtonbear1 · 21/11/2008 14:27

I usually get mine from Next or River Island. I like Miss Sixty jeans but have them taken up. They seem to look OK.
Topshop also do some petite jeans - their Mooch ones are nice.
I have problems with some petite ranges as I'm only petite in height, and some seem to assume you're smaller everywhere else as well!

rolledhedgehog · 21/11/2008 14:33

Next Petite fit me the best or Monsoon if I am feeling flush - although I am not short but have short stubby little legs.

GrimmaTheNome · 21/11/2008 14:40

Ooh, I didn't know Monsoon did petite - I love the look of some of their stuff but the standard lengths always looked really long.
