Where do you go to get sound advice about Foundation???

My skin is not the best since having DS and need to review my foundation. I'm happy to spend up to £40.00.
Where do you go to get impartial advice to suit your skin type? I've tried department stores but as they are all concessions i tend to end up getting sold something that isnt right - am I missing something???

estee lauder offer free i match, a personal service to find correct foundation and colour, i work for them so if you need any advice just yell!

That's the thing, i'm really not sure what i want/need. For ages i've used Clinique Superfit but it just seems to want to go a bit patchy after not very long. I was told to try Clarins (cant remember which one now...) but just ended up with some rubbish advice from the salesgirl and some foundation that makes me ORANGE!

So sounds like i will have to make a day of it... so i guess i should arrive with a bare face so they can see the extent of my minging teenaged hormonal looking visage - oh joys!

you should ask for a free 10 day sample of at least three to try at home, all the counters do this but dont shout about it in case we get loads of people just after freebies
you need to work out what type of cover you need, light, med or full...next what kind of finish, matt or luminuos , then what kind of staying power and finally do you need it to contain a spf....after that we can pretty much tell you what you need!

I just tried lilylolo (google it)I bought a little sample which was great (no shelling out for a whole pot, although its really cheap anyway) so I am going to buy it.You need a brush to apply it but it is really long wearing and you can layer the coverage as its powder.I would think it would suit all skin types part from the very dry.Hard to judge colours online but I ordered two samples and one suits me well-the samples are 85p !

Before my wedding last year I got a free makeover at Space NK and found an excellent foundation. I was in my branch on Saturday and saw they were offering the same thing. I was really happy with the make up and would have paid for the service so can recommend.
