I went to Bravissimo to get some new bras....

..thinking I was a 34DD and have come home with 3 new 32F bras!!!!!

How can I have got it so wrong? My old bras do seem to fit, but so do the new ones.

I also feel a bit upset about this new ludicrous bra size. My friend says 32F are comedy breats aka benny Hill.

I didn't think they were that ridiculously big

Anyone else had a similar bravissimo experience?

Neeerly -- it does vary from brand to brand, and also sometimes between different models (and even colours) of the same brand. So looking and trying is usually the best option. With Figleaves you can order several different sizes and send back the ones that don't fit, if that helps...

Should say, she is a good friend, I started the look at my comedy bra discussion and we were jointly laughing at my gigantic norks, so no offence taken.

I am now feeling better about it though. So not that strange that my 34DD MandS bra sems to fit and my new 32F bras also fit?

Neerly -
Have a look here

It should explain it there.

Measuring with a tape measure is near on impossible as every bra fits differently plus, everyones boobs are in different places (slightly - higher or lower depending on age) and saggier or fuller. So you may have to try a few on in one size to get the right bra for you.

Happy to answer any questions you may have though!
tea time now though so will be back later x

throw the m&s ones away

BTW - My bras range over 4 sizes and 2 brands and all fit fine. Go figure!

Basically, its like dress sizes.
You may be a size 12 in M&S, a size 14 in Next and a size 18 in Top Shop. Its not you changing. Its the daft sizings of each separate manufacturer.

I think I must be the original shrinking woman!...I started out as a 36C when I was a teenager, have gradually reduced over time and now at 40 I have just been fitted as a 30F. I am really worried about what size I might be in ten years time! invisible perhaps!!!

sandy4 · 18/11/2008 18:12

I was rigby & pellered into a 30D. I went in a 34C

After being fitted I went form a DD to a G cup, can't remember the band size as it was a while ago, but I do remember the shock!
