Help my hair has gone MAD

After having my first son, some of my hair fell out when he was 3 months old, about 2 years ago. My hair has always been dead straight, but this hair has grown back ringlet curly, so I now have straight hair with a frizzy mess on top!!! it is so awful, my straightners won't straighten it, I can't dry it, so I constantly wear it up. My hairdresser said I could have it chemically straightened, but then I wouldn't be able to have highlights. Does anyone have any suggestions or has this happened to anyone else?

wow no never heard of that, one section going curly! aww you poor thing what an annoyance! What about curling it all over or is that not an option?

What straighteners do you have are they ceramic?

Actually they aren't, they are ionic or something, they were quite cheap, maybe I should try some ceramic ones. it seems mainly to be on my crown, there's no curliness underneath. I guess i could have a perm, but I like being straight!!!

You really need to invest in the best ceramic straighteners you can afford.
