hairdressers jargon?

The hairdresser I used to use has moved away and I am going to have to find another. I need to get my hair cut and possibly the style changed as I have no idea what to call the way its been cut (inverted bob?). I've heard people ask for a cut and finish or cut and blow dry and I'm confused.

And can anyone suggest sites with pictures so I know what sort of styles to look at? Hair is currently shoulder length as I've been putting this offand is naturally straight. It's thick, heavy but mouse brown and not especially shiny and my face is squarish so I'll win no prizes for beauty

cut and finish, means a shampoo, cut and then styled however necessary: blow dry/ finger dry/set etc.

Cut and Blow Dry means wash, cut and a blow dry. So practically they mean the same.
