mmm In tan BTW .If you click on colours it shows them in tan

I am not sure what the demographic is for Miss Sixty..I am guessing the clue is in MISS.
I am a young looking fairly trendy 34 ..size 8 and I love these boots. I tried them on today but as they are v expensive I thought I would think about it
any opionions please......

Why on earth would you think 34 was too old?!!!

Nothing especially 'young' about them or the style.

Price is a bit outrageous though!

But if you like them and can afford them, why not?

MadamAnt · 16/11/2008 17:40

Well they're not at all muttony-looking to me. You're only 34...still too young for FootGloves IMO

widgypog · 16/11/2008 17:41

was worried as they have miss one one boot and sixty on the other..not sure the pic shows that up..lovely leather and confy..agree the price is horrendous but I looked in russell and bromley etc and all booots of quality are around 150

I must say I am struggling with my 30's ..not young not old etc..

i love them and i'll be 34 in Feb. i would buy them if they weren't £160

SlubberOverTheYardArm · 16/11/2008 17:42

one hundred and sixty whole english pounds for boots with MISS on the side?

er no. I don't like them.

But if you like them, then buy them

squeaver · 16/11/2008 17:43

The question is "do they look good on you?". If the answer is yes, buy them.

34 is NOT an age to be asking this question!!

PeaMcLean · 16/11/2008 17:45

LOL at 34 being too old. I'm stuffed then aren't I?

t875 · 16/11/2008 17:46

I'm 35 and I like them and would wear them

Go for it!

widgypog · 16/11/2008 17:47

thank you..yes I think they look good. I am trying to find a 20% off code for asos..that makes them £128..bit better!!

I have a pair almost exactly the same as the second pair in black (and I'm 31) and I wear them with skinny jeans (and all the dads at a kids b-day party yesterday seemed to like them ). Don't like the first ones as much.

JanieF · 16/11/2008 19:55

I remember thinking I was old in my 30s--cracks me up now a decade later. Anyway, as to the boots, go ahead!!! They'll look great on you, I bet.

triffictits · 16/11/2008 20:33

I bought a lovely grey one in Next today - fits really well and slightly flairs at bottom. They had it in plum too. Was £35 which isnt bad for what it is.

sorry, wrong thread!

Booboobedoo · 16/11/2008 21:34

I love them, and would buy them in a flash if I had the cash.

Query: how prominent is the writing? Could look a bit naff.

Miss Sixty is aimed at mid-twenties to mid-thirties, I think.

zazen · 16/11/2008 21:36

I think these boots are Ok until up to 60 years?

But what am I talking about? I got a lovely brown pair from clarks for 30 euros!

Have you read this lovely poem by Jenny Joseph?

When I am an old woman I shall wear purple
With a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter.

I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
And run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth.

I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
And pick the flowers in other people's gardens
And learn to spit.

You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat
And eat three pounds of sausages at a go
Or only bread and pickle for a week
And hoard pens and pencils and beermats and things in boxes.

But now we must have clothes that keep us dry
And pay our rent and not swear in the street
And set a good example for the children.
We must have friends to dinner and read the papers.

But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised
When suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple

themoon66 · 16/11/2008 21:36

God they are lovely... and I'm, well, a lot older than you. I would buy them.

They are delicious.
