Are cowboy boots coming back into fashion again?

As my DH says they are?

He recalls seeing 'almost every funky young woman' walking around St. James' the other day wearing them. He (apparently) thought this strange too, seeing as I haven't worn mine for a couple of years...but wondered whether they are coming back in vogue?

Bless him for thinking that I might be missing out on a trend.

i bought a lovely pair of tan leather slouchy boots from evans and they have gone down in the sale before i have even owrn them. i am too scared to wear them incase i mark them.

I saw a (normally fashionable/trendy) Mum at school wearing some this week and thought "urgh, shes got it wrong -not like her" but maybe she got it right and they are fashionable again?

Personally I can't stand them and find that it looks as if the wearer is off out to their line-dancing class

Lol at line dancing class. I do kind of know what you mean although I am very partial to mine. They are kind of beaten up (vintage, of course dahling) but are soooo comfy as they aren't too high.

Glad to hear that they might be making a comeback!

I bought some today

I think cowboy boots are classics. I have some black Justin ones I bought years ago at Langston's Western Wear, but I really lust for this Alberto Fermani upscale model. The proportions are just so cool!

MostlyReindeer · 15/11/2008 22:06

Ooooh yes. I am debating some but what do you wear with them??

giddykipper · 15/11/2008 22:08

Ooh I wonder whether I still have mine at the back of the wardrobe

pointydog · 15/11/2008 22:10

yes, unfortunately. Even at best, they hang about on the fringes of fashion.

JanieF · 15/11/2008 22:24

I wear my old Justins with skirts and jeans. They're a nice alternative to dressier boots Also, I don't much care if I mess them up since they've lived a long time now.
