I am in desperate need for some decent fitting bras, all mine are completely done in now, and i need somewhere i can be measured properly and fitted with some bras that give me proper support. I must add i am a 38 dd.

Of course i would prefer some where that won't cost me and arm and a leg.

Thanks very much

I love Bravissimo, they do good quality bras. .

MrsBadger · 14/11/2008 15:41

Bravissimo

if they are expensive buy one basic one and then search online

nailpolish · 14/11/2008 15:41

bravissimo

there is no otehr bra shop s far as im concerned

they are quite dear but a bra is worht it

onepieceoflollipop · 14/11/2008 15:42

Bravissimo.

(copy cats aren't we? )

I got a basic Bravissimo bra for just over £20. Well worth it imo.

THere is a bra factory shop in Desborough - Eveden Limited - been recommended to me by a friend. I haven't been there yet as it isn't very close but she swears by it. Apparently they do lots of top brands and they have a fitting service too! Also cheap as is a factory shop.
Of course if you live in Glasgow this won't help much.................

lizandlulu · 14/11/2008 16:58

i have found some debenhams are fine, they about £12 and are from a range called gorgeous, but not the gorgeous larger ladies range, its just what the bras are called

AussieLou · 14/11/2008 17:45

I love Bravissimo also but if you slightly more endowed then most head to Rigby and Peller. I found the most amazing sports bra there. I usually wear Berlei ones, which you cant get in the UK, but with this one I car jump up and down and nothing happens. Best of all it has no underwire which is even more amazing as I usually like my sports bra steel reinforced!

John Lewis are superior fitters and do Royce bras (as sold by Bravissimo.) Get measured there then have a look on Ebay for bras in the right size.
M&S are not very good bra fitters IME (and they don't go past Gcup).

Fimbo · 14/11/2008 17:49

Go to Bravissimo, get properly measured, buy one then go to Debenhams and buy their gorgeous range. They also sell Freya which Bravissimo do.

I have some great ultimo ones, also a 38D

pickie · 14/11/2008 19:45

depends where you live. If in Oxford you might like to try Joy lingerie. I have always been dissapointed with Bravissimo...

bikerunski · 14/11/2008 20:33

John Lewis. Well I can only vouch for Sheffield branch. I thought I was 38D, but John L and Bravissimo both decided I was 36DD.

pucca · 14/11/2008 23:07

Ooooh thank you all, the last time i got measured was in M&S 4 yrs ago, so i doubt i am that size now to be honest, all my bras have awful support, feel like they serve no purpose really, which of course they should be giving me good support.

So, stupid question really, but how do i go about getting measured? do i need to phone and mak an appointment? or can i just call in.

Will go and see if i can find out my nearest Bravissimo now, i am in Preston so not sure where the nearest one is.

Thank you all once again

Bravissimo is a revelation. You may need an appointment on a Saturday but in the week you can just call in and ask for a fitting. They usually offer the everyday/cheaper styles first.

I was thinking like RubyRioja - I bet you end up with a smaller back size and bigger cup.

MintChocAddict · 14/11/2008 23:24

Freya bras are great. Really supportive. Bravissimo and Debenhams both stock them.
