anyone want to give me their opinion on what to wear for my party?

pics are on profile. Please bear in mind that my hair is foul in these photos due to being in the rain all day - would have it done nicely for the night, and would be wearing makeup!! Also think I would prefer diff tights with the black dress - electric/ teal blue I think. Or not such a dark purple.

I like the patterned dress with wedge heels.

I think both dresses look fab!!! - But my favourite... well...it depends on the kind of party it is going to be - for a great night dancing until the morning light with great friends - the patterned. The black one looks more formal. I would choose it if the evening was due to be a sophisticated more poised sort of gathering...

The black one looks fab. The patterned one looks better with bare legs and strappy shoes but it depends where you're going. I don't like it with the boots. You are soooo not ugly and chunky!

I tried my electric blue tights on the other day with a black dress and purple shoes. DH pissed himself and said I looked like a smurf! That might be a consideration for you . I have teal ones too and find them more flattering. The black dress is gorgeous I reckon. Love your wedding pic too- my friend had that dress.

okay, honestly truly you think the patterned dress looks okay? i really feared it made me look huge.

It's my birthday bash. Have hired a rather slick bar, there'll be a DJ etc etc ... it shuts at 1 (and my children wake up at 7) so won't be a late late late night ... but nor will it be a poised, sophisticated gathering ...

First of all you are not ugly and chunky, you look stunning. I actually like all the pics. If it were me I would go for the bottom pic with the skinny trousers. Although I am guessing that you want to wear a dress and if so then go for the black one.

Yeah- I say black one too. You are clearly in no way chunky, but the patterned one doesn't show off your slimness to your its true potential. I like the jeans too- you look 'proper skinny' in them .

Oh for a birthday bash, in a slick bar with dj - I would choose the patterned dress with strappy shoes - it says "It is my birthday lets have fun fun fun!"

okay - found teal tights in Peacocks yesterday for a baragainous £3. Will wear them with the black dress and the Louboutins, or with patent ankle boots if I feel like being a bit edgier.

Thanks again for your help! Got my period today so no wonder I feel like a bloater. And my skin is hormonal too. Great timing!!!

I should add, just so you can see how terrible the timing is, that this is my first period since ds was born nearly a year ago!!

On the plus side - back on the ttc wagon!!!
