What does your summer wardrobe consist of?

I've been driven to creatin g this thread by the amoun t of mumsnetters that so strongly disagree with 3/4 length trousers, see Cod's thread on 3/4 lenght sleeve tops.

My wardrobe, in summer consists of a lot of 3/4 length style trousers and vest tops and flip floppy style shoes. Lots of other things but day to day I'm sporting 3/4 lengths with something or other, casual, smart, day & night.
I've got a red rouched pair, black linens, white combat style, khaki combat style ones, smart black ones with trun up, denim 3/4's and so on.

What about you? Do you wear them in summer and if n ot what do you wear?

3/4 length trouseers are a must IMO. I've got loads of pairs too, including some smart black flared ones to wear with heels to the office.

I'm also going to invest a couple of long gypsey skirts this summer to wear with flip flops and a little denim jacket. I alos like long linene type trousers to keep cool in.

Yes I was thinking a gypsy skirt might be nice this summer, and reasonably practical with flip flops.

Um. Vests, gypsey skirts, beaded flip flops, flats.

I need some new linen trousers and 3/4 denims.

I hate cropped trousers, no one looks good in them except supermodels! Even my sister who is ridiculously tall and slim looks silly in them. I wear jeans and strappy tops or skirts and strappy tops or linen trousers and strappy tops, and I have a huge collection of flipflops and sandals. But this year I have to wear big nursing bras so might have to rethink the strappiness of the tops.

No I don't do 3/4 length, am too short

I like full length straight leg linen trousers myself. Or skirts, mainly on/just below the knee. Lots of nice flattie flip flops, birkenstocks or wedgie espadrilles

Apparently Pinafores and hipsters are the theme this month along with last years gypsy skirts and cowboy boots - linen and lace.....just whats in my wardrobes....not...morelike stripey red/white pants tee shirts and jeans....now off to buy 3/4 length pants and jeans to match flip flops...

i've got a pair of 3/4 length gap jeans which are really flattering but am generally not keen on them. prefer to wear full length linen trousers, the odd long linen skirt & knee length skirts or dresses. this summer however it'll be whatever fits - baby no. 2 due at the end of june.

Linen lovely, but far too creasy to have too many items in wardrobe.

Bozza just iron with starch, not creasy then

Summer? What's that? We had one in 2003, I think, but I was still losing weight from having a baby and it was Autumn by the time I shifted it.

I wear jeans all summer. I only own 2 skirts and no pairs of shorts. And cheap tshirts.

But I do have some nice shoes and sandals.

Is it really that simple Countess? DD has a beautiful linen dress but it is a PITA to iron and she should really be getting some wear out of it.

yep
I wear linen all the time in hte summer

Spray it on then leave for a minute or two as otherwise it flakes.

Or use the stuff in the wash

I wear 3/4 quarter stuff in the summer (and all other seasons!)

For this summer I think I will be wearing a lot of long white peasant skirts with ethnic embroidered kaftans in v bright colours with a belt and some jewelled ballet pumps or flat sandals.

Also, denim skirts of varying lengths
