positive breast surgery stories

Hiya

After a whole year (or more) of thought, discussion w/ hubby, meetings and research I've decided to have a breast uplift and (slight)enlargement next year. 6 years of babies and breastfeeding really has taken its toll and while I respect other ppl's decisions and viewpoints to accept the hand Mothernature has given them (no pun intended) I hope my own decision will respected on here too.

Whilst I know there are risks (as with any surgery) I am happy to go ahead. That said, I never thought (pre kids) I'd be doing this and am a little nervous too...

So if anyone with any breast surgery POSITIVE stories could post here (including any advice / tips etc) I'd be really grateful. It's not the sort of the thing you discuss at the school gates after all!!

PS. No offence, but no horror stories pls. I've had my fill of them from my drama-queen sister (most of which turned out to be unfounded...)

Yes, i had it done 18 months ago and the results are fantastic, i was out of action for a few days. Its was uncomfortable rather than painful and my confidence went through the roof as a result.
I'm annoyed with myself for putting on a stone since as it rather ruins the effect, so bare that in mind.
But completely delighted, as is DH

By three mums at our school have had them done and we all had a feel at the school gates.

Another happy augmented person here.

I went from 30aaaa (no breast tissue at all basically) to a lovely natural smallish size in keeping with my height & weight.

It makes me feel great - that bit more confident and womanly. All ther more so as I'm in a longterm happy relatyionship with a man who loved me before i had boobs and still loves me now!

And NO ONE has noticed (if they comment on my figure I just say I put on weight after 2 babies which is true and they belive me) - no one would think i wwas the sort of person to have surgery.

Go for it! And happy to answer any questions more privately if you like.

Thanks so much ladies.... just wanted to know if you have any pre / post op tips?? Have been told to bring sports bras for first few days / weeks (in bigger size !!) and loose clothing that pref does up at the front so I don't have to lift my arms.... other than that, from my research I'm guessing that the first couple of days are the worst in terms of pain / soreness - do you just 'drug up' on pain relief?? Is it much better after a few days? Is sleeping uncomfortable (heard you have to sleep on your back for little while, propped up?). And did you take arnica too?

Again, thanks so much for posting. xx

I slept sitting up for 2 weeks! Over Xmas!

It was very strange but I was able to do it - just exhausted post-op I suppose.

And you can't lift you arms for at leats a few days so i had everything at waist level or lower.

I obnly took the painkillers for a few days as they made me horribly consitpated.

To be hibest the pain was quite manageable.

I can't remember re arnica. Maybe I took it.

Obe big tip is a couple of months post op invest in some silicone gel for your scars. It's expensive (£20 or £30 for a tiny tube) but is the most effective way to aid the healing.

I hgihly reccomend this forum for great advice:

I had reduction, not enlargement, but it was the best thing I have ever done and I have not regretted it for a single second. So good luck and enjoy!

Get a good surgeon & don't go too big.

Mine are on the slightly too large for me (34 large c) & I am thinking, after 10 yrs, of going smaller - 34 small B.

I found the healing agony - so be prepared for pain. If you take co-codomal, take linseeds to, to avoid being constipated,

Not sure if the others found this, but I can't sleep on my front.

enjoy !
