Will be in London for a weekend and would love to get my hair done. Anyone got a good hairdresser?

Hede (pronounced heeday) at Smiths Poland St 0207 734 3004. Wonderful man.

Ooh - thank you LadyG! Good at cutting?

I am SO bored with my hair. It's a sort of bob and last time I got it cut here my hairdresser persuaded me to have a sort of fringe. I hate it. I know there is not a lot can be done but I would just like a really nice cut.

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 11/11/2008 14:00

hoxtonchick · 11/11/2008 21:05

does he do curly hair? and is less than 100 quid a throw??

MrsSchadenfreude · 11/11/2008 23:10

Bump for answer to Hoxtonchick's question!

hester · 11/11/2008 23:24

Ah, well if you need a fallback I'd recommend Ann Forde at 63 Wigmore St, tel: 020 7935 2470, 07939 629010.

Buda · 12/11/2008 06:25

Thanks hester.

I didn't even ask the price to be honest!

In my defence I usually have my hair done here in Budapest and it is MUCH cheaper than UK - around £30/£40 for cut and colour.

I will have my colour done here this week so only the cut shouldn't be too bad in London and I really don't care anyway as I am SO fed up with my hair at the moment.

i bet it will be lovely buda .

LadyG · 12/11/2008 15:29

Yes same Hiday! I followed him from Mahogany SVK (not a stalker-he told me he was moving)
hoxtonchick def less than £100-presume you mean cut only I'm sure cut and colour would bump it up-cut onlyabout £45-55 depending on what you have done.
Re curly hair -I'm sure he does! But no personal experience of this as dead straight.
Jealous Buda as I could REALLY do with a restyle but my 3 month old is a boob monster, won't take a bottle and we are out in the sticks now so will have to wait.
BTW just had a text saying he is away Dec 25th to Jan13th but here until Christmas if anyone else is going to give him a try! He is absolutely lovely and very good.

hoxtonchick · 13/11/2008 14:37

oooh, that sounds encouraging. and i work round the corner....
