What do we think of this bright red suit for work?

I bought it in the sale last week. Size 10 jacket & 12 skirt (which is usual for me, I'm 5'7" with chunkyish thighs and no bust)

The skirt fits like a dream and DH says it looks good on (actually he said it's too hot for work )So that's what I'm concerned about. Is it too much for work? Makes me feel a million dollars, but I am going to get "compliments" which might put me off wearing it again.

I usually wear a suit, but usually with a long/flippy skirt or trousers and always in a conservative colour. There are only 2 women in our office and the other is very young, so I don't really have any references for what is "normal"

The jacket is a lovely cut and will give you a gorgeous bust.. I'd look like dolly parton in it

What are you going to wear with it?

I have a selection of plain black tops, with either (fairly demure) v or scoop necks. And black heels, but not too high.

wish i had the figure to wear something like this - love both the colour and the cut and will probably do for all seasons - can wear in summer with white.

I like the dark tights and heels in the next picture. With a fishtail skirt imo don't go with too low a heel otherwise it can have the effect of making you look squat. Jmo, but a white blouse would also go well with maybe a black choker type necklace.

I wear red to work too in a very sober office.

Heated - I've got either 2 1/2 in stilletos or 3in with a chunkier heel.

Probably go for the chunkier ones myself, to try and "sex it down" a bit. Will see what it looks like with back opaques too. Thanks.

Double - are they nice compliments or "corr look at that" ?

Lovely suit. Just make sure the top, tights, shoes and other accessories are funky but not vampish (if you get my drift).
