Really fancy going darker, possibly reddish or plummy.
Cant afford salon so trying to work out which colours would suit me.
First step trying to work out am I a cool or warm complexion.
Pale and slightly pinkish skin tone seems to make me a cool.
but have naturally mid brown (with gold undertones) hair, freckles and hazel eyes which come up as warm.
so bearing in mind all of the above and that my current hair colour is slightly chestnutty brown and looks fine but nothing startling (7th shade from the right), would I suit a deep red, 3rd shade from the right on same link?
I want a striking contrast, something a bit bold but dont want to clash.
Any idea the kind of colour I could pull off?

Mmmm I'm not really very good at this sort of thing...
I think the advice is not to go more than a couple of shades darker / lighter than your natural colour. So the red you like should be ok, as it's not too many shades away. Anything more drastic might look a bit odd.

I've no idea about the cool / warm thing sorry.

Yes, I'm thinking the dark red would be within the 2 shades thingummy, cheers Patty.

Still need advice ladies..... (i realise desperation is not a good look, but.....HELP!!!)
