Hi,

Feel like name changing as this is so embaressing but here goes.........

I have this huge spot / boil that keeps appearing on my chin about 3 days before my period and staying for over a week . This has happened for the last 3 months. This month I feel another brewing on the other side.

I have never been one for spots since my teens so am finding this really embaressing.

DH is not helping as he keeps touching it, pointing at it and generally making fun of me.

I don't know what to do.

Is it my age? (39) The pill?

Can anyone help please as next month I have 2 big Christmas parties to go to and I don't want this to appear again.

Please

That used to happen to me in my mid-20s - it would come up on one cheek one month and the other the next.

All I can say is that it stopped. Can't remember when but I don't think I've had a spot in the same place since.

are you absolutely sure is a spot? don't want to freak you out at all, sure is just a spot, but I had one on my nose that turned out to be a basal cell carcinoma...are you fair skinned and have you had lots of sun? if not ignore me...mine was a little bit like a blister, and it would sort of try to heal but then keep popping up...

Impetigo? If so, antibiotics or creams from GP should kill it.

Oh I get hormone related boil/spot things sometimes too. I do find that those spot clearing gels (like clearasil) are really effective if applied as soon as you start to feel it coming up under the skin.

I haven't suffered with them so much since my last pregancy fortunately

Make a paste out of soluble aspirin and put it on the spot overnight it will dry it out and take down any swelling.

Thanks everyone.
This is really getting me down so a trip to the doctor maybe called for but I do feel silly and vain going to see him.
I feel as if more are brewing and my skin looks dreadful

Been to the Drs today and he has prescribed Logynon.
Was very understanding so hopefully this will help.
