I should have taken mine to teh cobbler first too, but I just couldn't wait to wear them.
I think you can get something for the soles, and you need saddle soap to clean them(which I still haven't got)

We have 2. One in the centre of town and one that's not. You can guess which one I got them in There were only 2 pairs - both is my size! Dh had the day off on Friday, we were going to ToysrUs and I popped in TK Maxx which is next door to see if they had any Thomas The Tank things.

Well I just about filled my pants there and then. Dh still thinks they look manly, but agreed they were a bargain at the price I got them for. Even the sales assistant was looking at me with envy. Thomas of course went out the window by then.

I am still on a high, dh is teasing me and saying I can't wear them until Christmas though. Ha Ha that's what he thinks.

The leather is just so fabulous. I have them on the bedroom floor and just keep putting them on and off and staring at them. Dh says he is going to hide them - he thinks i love them more than him! LOL .

We went out for lunch and I kept gibbering on and on about them. He just smiled and nodded in the right places.

I am waiting for someone to say to me oh I have them, I will shout no you don't these are the real deal not some imitiation.

That's why I didn't want to say the price. I am going to go back every week periodically to see if they ever get anymore.

Ohh no, you had to tell me the price, I would have followed you around MN asking on every thread otherwise.

I think even mine at £154 were good value, they are such amazing quality. Even DH agrees.

Its fantastic that you got some for 70 smackers.

I think teh yellow ones will wear in much quicker then the brown ones, mine still looks very wellington bootey until recently so I think you've got a much easier colour.
Also, and I loathed to say it but the dark ones are really hard to wear with certain colours.
I can't wear a skirt and black tights because the dark boots look wrong with black. I still wear them with black tight(they are fryes after all)
but I don't like how it looks.

The yellow is much more wearble IMO
