help with hair!

Since having ds 19 months ago, I've been sporting that weird "mummy fringe" - odd feathery fringey hair along the hairline.

But today I've noticed that the new hairs at my temples are grey/white.

I have very long straight mid/golden blonde hair - though it seems to be darker now at the roots too since having ds

I've never dyed my hair and very nervous about where to start

should i lose some of the length and get highlights - do I have to get them all over ovr can I just get them to frame my face

any thoughts gratefuly received!

My hair got much darker after having my Dd's too. I'd always had just past the shoulder length blonde hair. It just didn't seem to suit me anymore soooooo
I went for the chop (kind of the old Posh Bob 'pob' thing!) and had a t section of highlights, one richer/ honey blonde and one lighter 'lifting' colour.
I think this suits me a lot more now and is very easy to cope with too
Not saying you should do the same thing but maybe an appointment with a good stylist would help you out? Highlights are an easy way of getting a lift without the commitment of a full colour!

Thanks Dorris - the problem is that on the few times I've been to expensive salons when i'm home in belfast i've left feeling unimpressed

also, i live in egypt and i'm over in the uk every 3-4 months so i was thinking highlights wouldn't be as high maintenance as full colour - do you think they would last me this long between visits?

part of me fancies a change - I've had the same hair since primary school - it's just knowing where to start - will ask around for a good salon when i'm home

To be honest I have mine re-done every 6 weeks and roots are showing then.
Perhaps you'd be better getting a good cut (again, I wouldn't go as short as mine if you can't get it done frequently, short hair needs to be done a lot more often!) and maybe playing around with a home hair colour?
You could always get a salon to do it first and see if they could recommend a colour that is similar which you could do yourself when in Egypt?

Something like this is a softer version of the Pob, still got a lot of style to it, but would be more forgiving when growing out I think.

i fear i may still be too chubby of face to get away with that, though it's very nice

(the weight that everything told me was just fluid is in fact clearly flab 19 months down the line )

(now sounding like I', on comission from the 'pob' people!)

I'm a very chubby size 16/18 myself, very chubby of cheek indeed

I was suprised at how slimming it was, I think it's because the hair is longer at the front and sort of skims your cheeks, it makes your face appear slimmer...it's a miracle!!

Sorry, heading off to bed now! Hope you find your hair solution
