I am debating getting one.

I've got a brown leather one and love it.

ledodgy · 04/11/2008 22:55

In fact I have 2, 2 x 2 seaters.

Flum · 04/11/2008 22:58

My folks have one, thye love it. The covers look a bit scruffy but it is comfy. I think loose covers do look more erm relaxed than tight covers.

brimfull · 04/11/2008 23:20

Thanks,as long as it doesn't start sagging .

Comfy sounds good,I like the leather one but fancy a change and are selling our leather couch , washable covers a must though.

We have two and we like 'em. The covers wash really well.

faustina · 05/11/2008 06:17

we also have two - one of them has survived five years of teenage boys, dogs, and cats with white washable covers. I only just got new covers this summer - you can order them online. The oldest one is more comfortable then the new one, but it's not saggy at all

brimfull · 05/11/2008 08:06

thanks-does anyone know if you can order the couch without any covers as I want to order a cover from www.bemz.com

In store you pick up the sofa and covers separately as the different styles cost different amounts, so yes you can have just the sofa.

I've just put new covers on mine (4 or 5 years old) and they look like new sofas.

I have 2 - a 3 seater and a 2 seater. Bought 2 diff colours of covers when we bought them - brick red for winter and beige for summer - actually left the red on for 3 years and only changed to the beige earlier this year. Comfy enough. Last well. Covers wash well.

Does anyone know whether you can get spare back cushions? We bought an old ektorp for a fiver on e-bay, and it is lovely except for the saggy back cushions (and the drawing that dd1 did on the arm last week!)

flowerybeanbag · 05/11/2008 08:57

I've had 2 Ektorps, both have been great, must just rave about the sofabed version we still have. Absolutely the most comfortable sofabed I've ever slept on.

Verso · 05/11/2008 09:49

I have a 3 seater sofa and a 2 seater sofabed. Both great but the sofabed is more comfy to sleep on than to sit on - I quite like the 'sagginess' of the sofa. (The foam on the sofabed is really thick - I completely agree with flowery that it's a very comfortable design.)

hazeyjane, sometimes the cushions pop up in Bargain Corner at Ikea although you may find new covers perk the cushions up. Mine did, I think the washing makes them softer and less likely to hold he shape of the cushion.

AMamaForObama · 05/11/2008 11:50

we love our ektorps they can take the punishment three kids throw at them and look good! We have 3 and 2 seated. Red have washed covers and still looks fabby.

hazeyjane · 05/11/2008 12:45

Thanks Soupdragon, I'll have to look out for them. I think the cushions have lost a lot of feathers, so don't think they would have much perkiness left in them!
