Another vote for head and shoulders. Repeatedly.

Also consider hot oil treatments spread through whole of hair.

At its worst, the hairdresser will dunk you in bleach to strip out some of the colour. They will make you sign a disclaimer about patchiness first though. Do not ask me how I know this!

FimboGotAxed · 27/10/2008 14:28

It looks like it has a blue tinge to it though, is that not what was supposed to happen?

I dyed my hair dark brown a couple of months ago, it really cling to the porous parts of my hair. I had a thread on here about it, I was in tears. My hair was a mixture of light & dark colours. It was grim. I eventually had to have it cut as the black bits started to go greyish.

If you go for head and shoulders you have to have the dandruff version for some reason

Cheesesarnie · 27/10/2008 14:28

Apart from going to hairdressers and getting them to sort it out by stripping the colour, there's not much that you can do apart from wait (sorry!) I dyed my hair black for a fancy-dress party - it was non permanent and I washed it and washed it but it wouldn't budge and I was distraught!!! I tried clarifying shampoo which is supposed to help but didn't and eventually waited months for it to grow out. It is now a lovely, very boring brown . Good luck, I hope you can shift it.
