What should I wear to a Feb wedding?

Bearing in mind it'll probably be freezing cold. I've got my eye on this and this.
Worried I'd be freezing in both of them. Also worried that the Coast one might be a bit bridesmaidy.

Anyone got any ideas? I haven't been to a winter wedding before so no idea how to look the part without freezing my arse off!

The coast link doesn't work.

Next have a lovely purple silk dress, that could be nice with maybe a jacket/ Or perhaps a cashmere jumper dress with boots?

Thanks. Do you think cashmere and boots are ok for a wedding? I always think I should wear floaty silk things and strappy heels for weddings. But then I've only ever been to summer weddings...

I'm not too sure. Is it a church wedding? Very formal or more relaxed?

RamblingRosa · 29/10/2008 11:12

Not a church wedding. I think it'll be quite informal (it's in a lovely country house I think) but I think all of the happy couple's friends are quite stylish/rich so will probably be well dressed. I don't want to be the only sruffy one there if everyone else is looking v glamorous!

just wear what you like plus a warm shrug
have a wee dram and thatll keep you cosy

i think a cahsmere dress and boots is ok for daytime but if you are dancing into the wee small hours you willfeel a bit daft

[[http://www.next.co.uk/shot.asp?b=X42&p=84&s=1&n=Women&pid=424-135&exclude=00F00 next have shrugs and wraps

a big cosy wrap would be nice

and tbh if its in a country house you will never be outside soits not really an issue is it (beng cold i mean)

oops here

nailpolish · 29/10/2008 11:16

which coast dress is it ?

RamblingRosa · 29/10/2008 11:19

It's a whole weekend thing so maybe cashmere dress and boots would be good for day after but think i need something a bit fancier for the actual ceremony.

I like the first dress, it would be nice with killer close toed heels, mary jane sort of thing.

RamblingRosa · 29/10/2008 11:26

I was thinking that. Maybe I could get away with opaque tights too for a bit of extra warmth.
