Falsh eyelashes for dummies - help please

Hi

I'm going to a 60s fancy dress party soon and have purchased some false eyelashes to complete my gogo girl look. I have never worn false eyelashes and have no idea how to use them. Can you give me any tips as to how to apply them? Do you put your make up on before or after you put the eyelashes on? Do you put mascara on the false eyelashes?

When I have worn falsies I have:

Put mascara on
Put glue along false eyelash
Leave for a minute so it gets tacky, then they won't slide around so much
Stick on eyelids
Draw liquid eyeliner line to fill in any gaps

make sure you have good light to apply them in and steady your elbow on something solid when sticking them on.
