Must just rave about New Look Hula jeans...

Having seen them recommended on several threads and at the bargainous price of £10 I ordered some and they arrived this morning.

Marvellous. Regular rise which means hoorah I can crouch down and bend over when with DS without endangering the eyesight of passers-by. Fit very nicely as well. I am pear-shaped btw.

Having seen comments about their sizes coming up big, I ordered a 10 and a 12. Would normally be a 12 in jeans, but 10 fitted easily, even though new and unworn. So order a size down definitely.

For that price I may well be ordering them in dark blue and black as well. I am very pleased.

interesting, will try on next time i am in town

AnAngelWithin · 16/10/2008 13:18

yep these are the only type of jeans i own!! def the best! a little stretch in them for when i have 'fat' days without feeling i need to buy the whole next size up!!

lizandlulu · 16/10/2008 13:20

i bought some last week and went to wear them yesterday. mine have a scratchy thread on the inside of the wiast part, i dont know what to do about it. i can wear them as they are, if i cut it off they might fall apart and i have took the labels off so i cant return.

i am not happy with mine

DartmoorMama · 16/10/2008 13:21

Those look great, am having a problem finding jeans that fit. 14 is too big and 12 too small so maybe a big 12 would do the job.

FimboGotAxed · 16/10/2008 13:22

Take them back LizandLulu.

I have about 6 pairs of them. I wear to jeans to work (in a playgroup!) so they are also perfect for that.

AnAngelWithin · 16/10/2008 13:22

size 12 hulas would fit you fine i think dartmoormama!

flowerybeanbag · 16/10/2008 13:23

Liz I just checked mine, no sign of any scratchy thread inside the waist, so I'd say yours are faulty. Take them back, I would.

lizandlulu · 16/10/2008 13:23

can i return them without the labels on?

FimboGotAxed · 16/10/2008 13:24

Yes they are faulty.

I took back a pair of sandals to Next which had a ridge inside them which gave dd a sore foot. I was given a refund as they didn't have another pair.

clayrethechildslayre · 16/10/2008 13:26

i used to love these but new look done the weird size thing and now a size just falls off me

purpleflower · 16/10/2008 13:33

I have a pair but find the pockets stick out even though they fit nicely. They are very comfy though and good with a long top to cover the pockets.

wheniwasyoung · 16/10/2008 13:35

I loved mine to start with but now feel they are quite flary at the bottom.

I jsut want a pair of jeans that actually fit without me having to wear a belt.

sammybeth · 16/10/2008 13:37

Ive got some of these too and they are soooooooooooo comfy im going to get them in other colours as well.

FimboGotAxed · 16/10/2008 13:41

I have the very dark ones, they look amost navy and black as well as the ordinary ones.

woodenchair · 16/10/2008 14:05

I love my hoolahs! I'm on pair 4. They don't last for ever, but for a tenner who cares!

I have two pairs, one pair to wear now and one a size smaller for when I lose the last few pound, brilliant for the price

MingMingtheWonderPet · 18/10/2008 21:08

I love my hulas too!
Great fit.

sausagemcgrah · 19/10/2008 13:14

Just got some of these on everyones great advice and LOVE them! So pleased as been searching for new jeans for ages. At last I can bend down again without revealing half my arse!

Maiakins · 23/10/2008 11:52

My Hulas arrived yesterday in the post and I must say I'm very disappointed with the quality. I know they're only £10, but you can get better ones at Primark for that price. The zip on the flies keeps coming down ... not a good look! I've sent them back for a refund! I might be unlucky with a faulty pair though.

NorbertDentressangle · 23/10/2008 11:54

This thread has just reminded me that I meant to look for some of these when I was last in town but forgot.

I need some jeans to tide me over until I can next get to Gap for some of my old favourites.

pinkblossom · 23/10/2008 11:56

I love Hulas too but as I am a 5ft2 midget they come up very long on me. OK for when I am wearing boots or shoes with a heel though.
